Damage Review Appointment
Whether you schedule an appointment or walk in for a damage review, you will meet with one of our estimators at this time. The extent of your damage will be determined at this time, an estimate will be written, and an appointment set for you to drop off for repairs. If at this time we can not determine all the damage, we may ask that you leave your vehicle with us at this point depending on the extent of the damage.
This process allows us to completely disassemble the damage area to find any hidden damage, structural, mechanical, and any suspension repairs needed. A review of the damage and a repair plan is determined at this time.
Once your damage is determined, we will contact the insurance company to review the damage or any supplemental damage found in Disassembly/Tear Down. If we are a preferred repair shop for the insurance company responsible for the claim, we will begin repairs immediately. If not, we will contact the company and handle getting additional work approved as expeditiously possible. At this time, you will be given an estimated date of completion.
Once approval is received from you and the insurance company, we will begin the process of locating and ordering the parts necessary to repair your vehicle. Many parts will arrive quickly and repairs will begin as soon as all structural parts are received.
Structural repair returns the unibody back to the factory specification. A computer based measurement system is used to measure and analyze the unibody of your vehicle. This system assures your unibody is repaired accurately.
The body repair department replaces exterior panels and complete any sheet metal work that may be required. In this process, your vehicle starts to come back to life as collision related repairs require some cosmetic repair and often require replacement of factory panels. At this time, our skilled technicians will ensure your vehicle’s parts look, fit and align the way they should.
Paint preparation is a critical step in the refinishing process of every vehicle. All panels are prepared for paint, then primed and sealed to assure good adhesion when the final top color and clear coats are applied. We only use top quality refinish products that meet or exceed the original manufacturer’s specifications.
Once the refinish process is complete, we then reinstall parts such as mirrors, moldings and other hardware. Should your repair require a wheel alignment or other services such as air conditioning repair, we will perform them at this time.
During the repair process the vehicle accumulates dust and dirt from the repairs. It will be cleaned, road tested (if applicable) to ensure everything is working properly. A final inspection will ensure the vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition.
Delivery is the last step of the repair process. When the customer arrives to pick up the vehicle, the bill is explained and the final paperwork is completed. The customer drives away knowing their vehicle was restored to its pre-accident condition.
